Mr. Mostafavi was born in 1931 in Tehran, he is a retired Iranian football player. He has played for Tehran Javan, Taj and Persepolis, as well as the Iranian national football team. At the beginning of the 2008-2009 season of the Premier League, he was the CEO of Persepolis Tehran. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Nasaji Mazandaran Club.

Mostafavi was able to lead the Iranian national team to the 1998 World Cup in France after 20 years as the president of the Football Federation. He was also the President of the Football Federation in the famous Iran-Australia match.

One of his best club games was during the game against Bank Melli Tehran, where he scored a goal for this team for 5 times so that Taj Tehran could win with seven goals.
