Iranian judoka Sobhan Hakimi secured the silver medal in the -81kg category at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games after narrowly losing the final.

before his opponent clinched the victory. Having advanced to the final by

Iran’s second medal at the Games, following swimmer Parsa Shahshahani’s earlier
silver.
