Iran NOC; Tehran: The NOC hailed the triumph as a source of pride and a clear sign of the strength and excellence of Iranian Greco-Roman wrestling. The congratulatory message stated that Iran’s early-clinched Greco-Roman wrestling title at the World Championships in Kazakhstan, secured one day before the close of the competitions, constitutes a pride-inspiring honor and a clear manifestation of the power and merit of Iranian Greco-Roman wrestling. The message noted that this precious victory, following on from the brilliance of Iranian wrestlers at the Asian Games in Nagoya, has rekindled the world’s hopes for an even more spirited future and bright days ahead, particularly success at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The National Olympic Committee extended its congratulations to the illustrious champions, the capable coaching staff, the extended wrestling family and the federation’s successful management team — in particular Dr. Alireza Dabir — and wished all those who bring honor to the sport of wrestling continued health, distinction and ever-growing achievements.
