Following the Iran U-23 freestyle wrestling team’s championship victory at the World Championships in the United States, the Iranian Supreme Leader issued a congratulatory message.
Iran
NOC; Tehran: In a message, the Supreme Leader highlighted:
“In the Name of Allah, the Most
Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The championship victory of the national U-23 freestyle
wrestling team of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the World Championships
filled the hearts of the great and appreciative Iranian nation with joy and
pride. This success, accompanied by the acquisition of nine diverse medals,
is—much like the recent championship of the U-23 Greco-Roman wrestling team—the
result of planning, management, and relentless efforts by managers, dedicated
coaches, and the powerful, valiant youth of our country. I congratulate them,
especially the champion young generation of our homeland and the proud nation
of Iran”.
