National Olympic Committee officials held a virtual meeting with the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to review hosting preparations and logistics for the upcoming Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

NOC; Tehran: The virtual session was held featuring Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, NOC
Secretary-General; Dr. Asghar Rahimi, Chef de Mission for the Iranian
delegation; and Mrs. Atefeh Eslamian, the International Relations Director.
Representing the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) were Director General Husain
Al-Musallam and Deputy Director General Vinod Tiwari, who discussed the status
of the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya.
During
the session, OCA officials emphasized that they maintain rigorous coordination
and supervision over the Aichi-Nagoya Organizing Committee. Despite certain
challenges, the organizers are committed to delivering a successful event. The
OCA specifically praised Iranian delegation for its smooth cooperation with the
organizers, noting that this is particularly noteworthy given the large size of
the Iranian contingent—a contrast to other National Olympic Committees that
have yet to input their flight itineraries and logistical data into the
organizing committee’s system.
Following
the presentation of participation statistics by the OCA regarding the total
number of countries and athletes, the Iranian delegation raised several key
concerns. Given the geographic spread between team accommodation sites and
competition venues, Iranian officials requested increased attention to specific
logistical needs, particularly emphasizing the necessity for efficient and
reliable transportation arrangements for the athletes.
