Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee, accompanied by executive board members, visited the national Rowing team at the Olympic Academy’s medical center to assess athlete preparations for the upcoming Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Davarzani, Dr. Shabani Bahar, and Dr. Goudarzi, met with Rowing Federation
President Mohsen Shadi and head coach Afshin Farzam. Dr. Alinejad commended the
rowers for their resilience, emphasizing that the federation’s independence and
current leadership have significantly bolstered the team’s strategic progress.
He highlighted the women’s rowing team as a vital asset, noting that their
international success is a testament to the principles of gender equity and
ethical progress within Iranian sports. Dr.
Alinejad reaffirmed the NOC’s unwavering support for the athletes, framing
their participation in global events as a mission to represent the nation with
pride. In response, Federation President Mohsen Shadi detailed the rigorous
preparations for the young squad, while head coach Afshin Farzam confirmed that
the athletes are in excellent condition. The visit concluded with a tour of the
