As the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games approach, Iranian national team athletes and coaching staffs are undergoing rigorous medical screenings and specialized training clinics at the National Olympic Academy.
Iran
NOC; Tehran: The National Olympic Academy has intensified its preparation
cycle, conducting comprehensive medical and physiological evaluations for
athletes representing sports such as Kabaddi, Kurash, Golf, and MMA. These screenings
encompass a wide range of diagnostic services, including nutritional, cardiac,
and orthopedic consultations, aimed at ensuring optimal physical readiness for
the 282-member Iranian delegation. For MMA squads, specific analytical sessions
were held to review test results and identify performance gaps, with a
follow-up assessment scheduled for September to track progress during their
ongoing training camps.
Parallel
to athlete screenings, the NOA has launched targeted educational clinics for
the coaching staffs of the traveling teams, with a recent focus on the Kurash
national squads. These specialized programs cover essential performance topics,
including peak performance strategies, injury prevention, physiological
adaptation to Nagoya’s climate, and psychological resilience. By integrating
advanced data analysis and expert-led training, the National Olympic Academy
aims to provide a robust support system, ensuring that Iran’s competitors are
fully prepared for the challenges of the upcoming Games.
