National Olympic Academy has initiated extensive medical examinations for multiple disciplines and conducted comprehensive mental preparation analyses for the women’s Kurash team ahead of the upcoming Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Iran NOC; Tehran: The Sports Medicine Federation conducted
a series of detailed medical evaluations for male and female national athletes
in Wushu (Sanda), MMA, and Taekwondo, alongside the women’s national Table Tennis
team at the National Olympic Academy. These assessment procedures are part of a
structured program to support Iranian delegation of 282 athletes—consisting of
191 men and 91 women competing across 39 sports—for the 20th Asian Games,
scheduled to take place in Japan from September 19 to October 4, 2026. The
screenings featured specialized stations, including cardiovascular tests,
electrocardiograms, orthopedic examinations, dental checkups, vision tests,
nutritional counseling, and initial psychological consultations.
Simultaneously, the academy’s psychology center convened
a specialized session with the coaching staff of the women’s national Kurash
team to evaluate the psychological profiles and brain mapping results of the
athletes. Led by the head of the Psychology Center and team psychologists, the
technical staff analyzed customized psychological interventions designed to
optimize the squad’s mental readiness. The Kurash team is currently training at
the National Olympic Academy in preparation for the CISM World Military
Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in September, which will serve as a key
warm-up phase before they compete in the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
