Iran’s Hanieh Rostamian captured the bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol at the Shooting World Cup in Hangzhou, extending her run of notable international performances.

NOC; Tehran: Iranian athletes competed in the women’s 10m air pistol on the
third day of the World Cup in Hangzhou, China. Rostamian finished sixth in
qualification with a score of 579 to advance to the final alongside three
shooters from China, two from South Korea and one from India. In
the final, She defeated a South Korean shooter in a shoot-off and ultimately
secured third place to claim the bronze medal, while athletes from China and
India took gold and silver respectively. The result also gave Iran its first medal
in an overseas senior-level shooting event in the past year. Iran’s
other representatives in the event, Zeinab Toumari and Samieh Yasi, finished
26th and 55th respectively. The national pistol team is coached by Maryam
Soltani. The Shooting World Cup in China features 683 athletes from 66
countries.
