The 15th meeting of the Women and Sport Commission was held at the National Olympic Committee with the participation of most members and invited guests.
Iran NOC; Tehran: The session reviewed proposed initiatives in
women’s sports development, athlete safeguarding, and the organization of the
fourth national and second international Women and Sport conferences. The
commission discussed a proposal titled “Olympic Girls Festival: Empowerment and
Sports Camp,” presented by Heshmatollah Eskandari, and called for revisions to
better align the program with International Olympic Committee objectives.
Members also approved two of seven proposals submitted by sports psychologist
Dr. Razvani for further review and implementation: the “Mothers and Female
Champions” project, aimed at supporting female athletes and documenting
inspiring stories of women in Iranian sport, and the creation of a specialized
working group on safeguarding female athletes.
In the final part of the meeting, officials reviewed preparations
for the upcoming conferences at the National Olympic Academy. The event’s final
themes include media and investment in women’s sport, technology and
innovation, social participation and inclusion, athlete protection, sports
diplomacy, health and performance, and leadership and empowerment of women in
sport. Officials also announced cooperation from Kharazmi University and said
the paper submission process has already begun.
