Seyed Hassan Tabatabaei has been elected as the President of Iran Blind Sports Federation for a four-year term following the federation’s electoral assembly.

NOC; Tehran: The electoral assembly was held in the presence of senior
officials from Ministry of Sport and Youth, the National Olympic Committee and
the National Paralympic Committee. Tabatabaei secured the presidency after a
two-round vote, defeating Ali Asghar Hassanzadeh by 28–20 in the final ballot. A
total of 15 candidates initially registered for the election, with six
withdrawing before the assembly. Nine candidates ultimately presented their
programmes to the voting members before the election proceeded to a second
round. Tabatabaei previously served as President of the Iran Karate Federation.
He succeeds Mohammadreza Mazloumi, whose third consecutive term as President of
the federation concluded earlier this year.
