Athletes Undergo Performance & Medical Assessments before Asian Games
Iranian athletes preparing for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games and Asian Para Games have completed a new round of physical, medical and psychological assessments as part of their performance monitoring programme.

Iran NOC; Tehran: The latest evaluations were conducted at the National Olympic Academy, where members of Iran’s women’s wheelchair basketball team underwent physical fitness and mental performance testing during their 10th national training camp for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games. The assessments were carried out under the supervision of the National Paralympic Academy’s Performance Assessment and Enhancement Department as part of the team's long-term preparation programme.

At the same venue, athletes from Iran’s women’s and men’s 3x3 basketball teams, women’s boxing team and women’s kurash team completed comprehensive medical examinations organized by the Iranian Sports Medicine Federation.

The screening programme included laboratory testing, sports medicine evaluations, nutrition consultations, vision screening, internal medicine, cardiovascular assessments, electrocardiograms (ECG), orthopedic examinations and psychological consultations. The assessments form part of Iran’s integrated preparation strategy for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games and Asian Para Games, aimed at monitoring athletes’ health, fitness and readiness ahead of the continental competitions.
