Iranian national teams are currently undergoing comprehensive medical and physical evaluations at the National Olympic Academy to ensure peak performance and optimal health for the upcoming 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Iran NOC; Tehran: With the 20th Asian Games scheduled to
commence in Japan this September, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s sports
federations have initiated a robust screening program for the 282-member
national delegation. Athletes across diverse disciplines, including Wushu, Gymnastics,
and Rowing, are currently completing a wide array of specialized
evaluations—ranging from cardiac and orthopedic examinations to psychological
and nutritional counseling. These systematic assessments, facilitated by the
Sports Medicine Federation, are critical in ensuring that every athlete enter
the final stages of their preparation for the continental tournament.
The national Trampoline squad, which secured two silver
medals at the Asian Championships in Hong Kong, is intensifying its training
regimen with four designated representatives: Yalda Hassan Shoukati, Fatemeh
Tavassoli, Aria Mam Abdollah, and Mohammad Saeed Abadi. Under the guidance of
their coaching staff, these athletes are integrating a series of domestic and
international training camps to maintain peak competitive form. Their
preparations are focused on solidifying their technical proficiency, with the
team currently operating on a disciplined schedule to ensure they reach their
physical zenith before the Games begin.
Simultaneously, the men’s national Rowing team, featuring
Ali Aghamirzaei, Peyman Ghavidel, and Mohammad Bani Rezaei, is accelerating its
training under the supervision of head coach Sergii Buzokly. Having engaged in
continuous preparation across various domestic training centers over the past
nine months, the squad is now balancing their focus between the Asian Games and
the upcoming World Championships in Poland this August. These athletes continue
to refine their physical and mental readiness, underscoring their commitment to
achieving a high-ranking performance on the international stage.
