The National Olympic Committee and the National Academy of Olympic have hosted their fifth specialized workshop for coaches, focusing on fatigue monitoring and advanced recovery strategies ahead of the Nagoya Asian Games.
Iran
NOC; Tehran: This session was part of a six-part series organized by the
Exercise Science Department to enhance the technical proficiency of coaches
training for the upcoming Asian Games. The workshop, attended by approximately
50 coaches in both in-person and online formats, was led by Dr. Rahman Souri
and Dr. Nasser Pirverdizadeh, who provided expert insights into the
physiological and mental demands of elite competition.
The
training focused on practical applications for monitoring athlete fatigue,
including the use of RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion) questionnaires to track
workload. Additionally, the instructors detailed modern recovery methodologies,
emphasizing both objective and subjective assessments to evaluate the quality
of an athlete’s recuperation process.
This
series follows four previous workshops that addressed critical areas such as
psychological resilience, stress management, injury prevention, and nutritional
optimization for elite athletes. The NOC confirmed that the sixth and final
session of this educational program will be held on July 13, focusing on sports
supplements, doping control, and prohibited substances to ensure total athlete
compliance and readiness.
