The fourth coordination meeting for Iran’s delegation to the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games convened, with a primary focus on implementing specialized sports management training for national team leaders.

NOC; Tehran: In the ongoing series of weekly sessions aimed at optimizing
preparations for the upcoming Games, Chef de Mission Asghar Rahimi commended
the various departments for their sustained progress. Rahimi reported that
approximately 90 percent of the operational groundwork—spanning logistics,
support, and protocol—has been successfully completed. He expressed confidence
that all remaining tasks are on schedule to be finalized well before the
delegation’s departure.
A
pivotal agenda item was the upcoming coordination and orientation seminar
designed for national teams’ leaders. Rahimi announced that in partnership with
the Olympic Solidarity and utilizing experienced instructors, a two-part sports
management course will be held between late August and early September. This
training initiative represents a departure from previous strategies, designed
to provide a more rigorous and comprehensive management framework for the
leaders guiding the Iranian squads in Japan.
During
the session, the NOC finalized the critical curriculum and core topics for the
forthcoming training program. Representatives from various departments also
presented brief progress reports on their ongoing activities, with specific
emphasis on host city arrangements and logistics. The meeting was attended by
key officials including Chef de Mission Asghar Rahimi, Reza Shajie (Director of
the National Teams Monitoring Center), Reza Saeidi (Medical Affairs), Mahmoud
Abdollahi and Hossein Ramadan (Public Relations), Ahmad Babaei (Finance),
Atefeh Eslamian and Fatemeh Mousavizadeh (International Affairs), and Amir
Balzadeh (Olympic Solidarity).
