The National Olympic Committee of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Iran Medical Council (IRIMC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance bilateral cooperation in sports, healthcare, and physical activity promotion.

Dr. Mohammad Raeiszadeh, the three-year agreement aims to foster systemic
interaction between the sports and healthcare communities. The partnership
focuses on promoting sports culture as a vital pillar of public health,
developing athletic activities within the medical profession, and utilizing
scientific and research capacities for the benefit of elite athletes.

President Khosravi Vafa highlighted the importance of integrating medical
expertise into high-performance sports, particularly for national teams and
delegations heading to the Asian Games and Olympic Games. IRIMC President Dr.
Raeiszadeh emphasized that increasing sports participation directly correlates
with improved community health, noting that the council has already established
a sports steering committee and association to support this initiative. The
collaboration will include joint educational workshops, scientific exchanges,
and social responsibility projects.
