The National Sports, Olympic Paralympic Museum of Iran has, for the first time, secured membership in the Marketing Working Group of the Olympic Museum Network, affiliated with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

NOC; Tehran: Mohammadreza Oveisi, Director of the National Sports Olympic Paralympic
Museum and Maryam Feyzasa, the museum’s International Affairs Expert, were
formally admitted to the working group during its meeting. The session,
attended by representatives from Greece, Germany, Switzerland, China, Estonia,
South Korea, Spain and other member countries, focused on the presentation of
national Olympic and sports museums and their development strategies.
While
Iranian representatives had previously taken part in certain meetings of the
network, this marks the first time the museum has had an official and active
role in presenting its institutional profile, development plans and future
projects at the international level. During the meeting, the Iranian representatives
introduced the museum’s activities, highlighted Iran’s sporting history and the
cultural tradition of pahlevani (chivalric sportsmanship), and outlined the
museum’s cultural and educational capacities.
Oveisi
also detailed upcoming initiatives in physical expansion, digital
transformation, cultural marketing and youth engagement. Participants agreed to
share future projects and practical experiences in subsequent sessions to
enhance knowledge exchange and strengthen cooperation among Olympic museums
worldwide.
