NOC Education Commission Meeting Holds

Iran NOC; Tehran: The session was presided over by Mr. Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, President of the NOC, and Dr. Mahin Farhadizad, Vice-President and Chair of Coordination and Supervision for NOC Commissions. During the meeting, the commission’s strategic approach and policies were outlined. Elham Shirzad, a faculty member at the University of Tehran and the commission’s Chair, introduced the new members. These included: Seyed Nasrollah Sajjadi (NOC veteran and University of Tehran veteran), Abbasali Gaeini (University of Tehran), Ahmadreza Arshi (Amirkabir University of Technology), Mohammad Jafari (Deputy Minister of Physical Education and Health, Ministry of Education), Habib Honari (Allameh Tabataba’i University), Mehran Shahintab (athlete and coach), Padideh Bolourizadeh (athlete and coach), Maryam Jafari (NOC expert), Rana Fayaz Milani (Shahid Beheshti University), and Sara Mehrani (Deputy Director of Education and Research, National Olympic Academy). Each member received their official appointment letters as members and the secretary of the commission.

Shirzad presented a report on the commission’s performance during the previous term, acknowledging past contributions. She then elaborated on the commission’s policies and strategies, emphasizing alignment with the mission and objectives set forth by the International Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Committee. Subsequently, members shared their insights and proposals regarding the commission’s future activities. The meeting concluded with the determination of the agenda for the next session.
