The twelfth meeting of the National Olympic Committee’s International Relations Development Commission was held at the NOC headquarters, attended by the President of the National Olympic Committee, the Chair and commission members.
Iran NOC; Tehran: At the beginning
of the meeting, the NOC President outlined the multi-year process and key
stages leading to the candidacy and election of Soraya Aghaei as a member of
the International Olympic Committee, as well as her confirmation and
oath-taking ceremony in Milan on the sidelines of the Winter Olympic Games. He
noted that this achievement was the result of effective international
engagement, trust-building, and structured planning. The meeting continued with
a review of the commission’s previous agendas, including an assessment of
challenges and contributing factors related to the limited acquisition of
international positions. It was agreed that a comprehensive roadmap be
developed and presented at the commission’s next session.
