Iranian national Greco-Roman wrestling team claimed the overall title at the United World Wrestling Ranking Series event in Croatia, winning a total of three gold medals and four bronze medals.
Iran NOC; Tehran: The first
Greco-Roman Ranking Series competition of the 2026 season, the Zagreb Open, was
held in Zagreb, Croatia. Competing in seven weight categories, the Iranian team
secured gold medals through Mohammad Hossein Vandi in the 55 kg category, Erfan
Jorkani at 63 kg, and Ali Oskou at 77 kg. Bronze medals were won by Pouya
Dadmarz (55 kg), Meysam Delkhani (63 kg), Mohammadreza Mokhtari (82 kg), and
Mohammad Hadi Seydi (97 kg). In the final team standings, Iran topped the table
with 125 points, followed by Uzbekistan with 120 points and Kazakhstan with 108
points, placing second and third respectively.
