The 53rd meeting of the Cultural Commission of the National Olympic Committee of Iran was held in the presence of the NOC President and Secretary General.
Iran NOC; Tehran: At the opening
of the meeting, Mr. Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, the NOC President highlighted the
cultural significance of Soraya Aghaei’s membership in the IOC Athletes’
Commission and her nomination among the 115 members of the International
Olympic Committee. The President also referred to upcoming major events,
including the Nagoya Asian Games, the Dakar Youth Olympic Games, the Sanya
Asian Beach Games and the Riyadh Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, outlining
specific organizational characteristics of the Nagoya Games that should be considered
in cultural planning.
Dr. Alinejad, The NOC Secretary-General
reviewed cultural and media achievements at recent events in Bahrain and
Riyadh, citing pre-departure cultural and media workshops for athletes, coaches
and journalists as effective measures in strengthening cultural engagement and
representation. The meeting also addressed remaining cultural issues within the
commission, with emphasis placed on concluding pending matters and aligning
future activities with the broader objectives of the NOC.
