The 10th meeting of the Training Science Department of the National Teams Monitoring Centre was held at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Iran, with department members and national team coaches in attendance.
Iran NOC; Tehran: The sessions, which resumed following the Bahrain
Asian Youth Games and the Riyadh Islamic Solidarity Games, are aimed at
strengthening scientific planning, monitoring and decision-making for national
teams preparing for upcoming events, with a particular focus on the Sanya Asian
Beach Games and the Nagoya Asian Games.
At the opening of the meeting, Dr. Reza Shajie, Director of the
National Teams Monitoring Centre, underlined the importance of the two
forthcoming competitions and highlighted the role of the Training Science
Department in improving technical, managerial and performance-related
decision-making. He also presented a comprehensive report on the performance of
the delegation at the Bahrain Asian Youth Games. Department members then shared
their expert views and recommendations on a range of issues, including coach
development, departmental structure and efficiency, talent and medal prospect
monitoring, federation oversight, coaching staff conditions, nutrition of
national teams, performance evaluation of federations, departmental cohesion,
field monitoring and the advisory role of the department in coach selection.
