A delegation of members from the National Elites Foundation met with Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee, and visited the National Sports Olympic Paralympic Museum.
Iran NOC; Tehran: The meeting,
attended by Dr. Alinejad and Dr. Reza Shajie, Director of the National Teams
Monitoring Center, focused on the need for a systematic and targeted use of
elite scientific and expert capacities in Iranian sport. Participants
highlighted the role of knowledge-based expertise as a key requirement for
advancing elite and professional sport. Discussions also underlined the
importance of developing integrated, data-driven information banks to support
evidence-based decision-making, contributing to improved planning and policy
formulation across different levels of sport governance.
Referring to the strategic role
of the National Olympic Committee, Dr. Alinejad emphasized on the necessity of
data-driven governance and stronger institutional coordination, particularly at
the international level, describing cooperation with the National Elites
Foundation as a valuable opportunity. Expanding joint cooperation and defining
clear mechanisms for the effective use of elite capacities in the development
of national sport were among the other key points emphasized during the
meeting.
