A major milestone for Iranian Handball was achieved at the 25th Congress of the Asian Handball Confederation (AHF), where Alireza Pakdel, NOC Executive Board Member and Handball NF President was elected Vice President following a vote by the member federations.
Iran NOC; Tehran: The congress was held in Egypt, with
representatives from all AHF member countries in attendance, ahead of the
International Handball Federation Congress.
During the congress, elections
were conducted for the President, Vice Presidents, and members of the Executive
Board of the Asian Handball Confederation for the upcoming four-year term. In
this process, Pakdel, who currently serves as President of the Handball
Federation of Iran, was elected Vice President of the AHF by a majority vote. This
key continental position comes after Pakdel’s four-year tenure as a member of
the AHF Executive Board. His election reflects Iran’s sustained presence within
Asian handball structures, effective engagement at the continental level, and
the sport’s notable progress in recent years. At the same congress, Bader
