The Electoral General Assembly of the Iran Rowing Federation was held at the National Olympic Academy with the presence of Dr. Mahdi Alinajad, Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee, and Mohammad Shervin Asbaghian, Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth.
Iran NOC; Tehran: Mohsen Shadi,
who had been serving as Acting President of the newly established Federation
since October 2024, ran as the sole candidate and was elected President with 38
votes. During the assembly, Shadi presented his four-year development plan,
focusing on youth development, elite athlete pathways, modern coach education,
international-standard training programs, and strengthening international
relations. The Iran Rowing Federation has been officially established for the
first time in the country’s sports structure, and Shadi becomes its first
elected President.
