The fourth meeting of the National Olympic Committee’s Tourism Commission was held with the participation of its members at the NOC headquarters.
Iran NOC; Tehran: The meeting focused on developing integrated sports
tourism services through the use of national tourism platforms. These services
are intended to include travel management, accommodation, tourism programmes,
and cultural offerings to provide standardized and appropriate services for
foreign athletes attending sporting events in Iran. It was also agreed that
similar organized services should be designed for Iranian athletes
participating in international competitions abroad to improve the quality of
their professional presence through structured travel, accommodation and
support services.
During the meeting, the importance of creating a sports tourism
ecosystem through cooperation between tourism platforms, innovative companies,
event organizers, sponsors and sports federations was emphasized. It was
decided that a suitable domestic event be selected as a pilot project to assess
this collaborative model and to benefit from the potential of foreign sports
tourists, particularly from neighboring countries.
