The National Olympic Committee’s Cultural Commission convened its 52nd meeting reviewing the Bahrain Asian Youth Games and the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh.
Iran NOC; Tehran: At the start of the session, Commission Chair Mr.
Sarlak presented a brief report on the sporting achievements and cultural
outcomes of the Riyadh Games, followed by an analytical review of cultural
activities and areas requiring improvement. Members then shared their views and
comments on the issues raised. The NOC President highlighted the technical
progress and positive results achieved in both Bahrain and Riyadh, noting the
strong cultural atmosphere within the delegations. He stressed that cultural
planning for the Aichi–Nagoya Asian Games must begin immediately within the
commission. Members also discussed their critiques regarding the Islamic
Solidarity Games and the way the event was reflected in social and traditional
media.
