Iran NOC; Tehran: Mr. Mahmoud Khosravivafa, President of the NOC
of Iran, accompanied by Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, Secretary-General, signed the
sports cooperation agreement with Mr. Raja Sapta Oktohari, President of the NOC
of Indonesia, at the meeting hall of the Hilton Hotel in Riyadh.

two sides agreed to enhance mutual collaboration through initiatives such as
the exchange of coaches in sports where either country has a comparative
advantage, organization of joint training camps and multilateral tournaments,
implementation of scientific and technical training programs, and exchange of
knowledge and technology between specialists and experts of the two nations. At

friendship between the two Muslim nations and said: “I have no doubt that
Indonesia, as a Muslim country with a rich sporting history—especially in
badminton, beach sports such as volleyball, women’s weightlifting, shooting and
archery—can greatly contribute to the development of these sports in Iran.” He
further added that Iran is also prepared to share its expertise and experience
in disciplines such as wrestling, weightlifting, taekwondo, volleyball, wushu,
and other sports upon Indonesia’s request.
Mr. Oktohari, President of the
