The National Olympic Committees of Iran and Bahrain signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening bilateral sports relations and promoting regional collaboration.
Iran NOC; Tehran: The agreement
was signed by Mahmoud Khosravivafa, President of the NOC of Iran, and Sheikh
Khalid bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Olympic
Committee, on the sidelines of the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Manama. Both sides
emphasized expanding exchanges through training camps, tournaments, and
educational programmes. The MoU focuses on enhancing cooperation, sharing
expertise, developing sports infrastructure, and creating joint working groups
to implement its provisions. At the conclusion of the meeting, President
Khosravivafa officially invited Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to visit
Iran for upcoming international sports events and to review the country’s
facilities and sports infrastructure.
