The eighth meeting of the Women and Sport Commission of the National Olympic Committee was held at the NOC headquarters.
                
								
                
									
                    Iran NOC; Tehran: The members
discussed two main agenda items. The session began with a review of recent
sporting achievements, including Iran’s women’s rugby team finishing runner-up
at the Asian Championships and the promising performance of the Iranian
delegation at the Bahrain 2025 Asian Youth Games. Reports were also presented
on Iranian table tennis players’ participation at the World Championships and
the “Champion of the City” competitions organized by Tehran Municipality.
The commission further reviewed
the first “Safe Sport” educational workshop held in Tehran, organized under an
MoU between the Women and Sport Commission and the Federation of Sport for All,
as well as the upcoming second “Olympic Ambassadors” workshop in Isfahan. Following
updates on Olympic Movement activities and protection frameworks within the
NOC, members examined the IOC’s recent call for nominations focusing on gender
equality, diversity, and inclusion in sport.
