Iranian young athletes continued their strong performance at the 3rd Asian Youth Games Bahrain 2025, collecting a series of medals across various disciplines including Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Athletics, and E-sports.
                
								
                
									
                    In Muay Thai, Baran Jani and
Rouzhan Behnami captured gold medals after impressive victories over Thailand
and Vietnam respectively. Yasin Mousavi and Abolfazl Hajivand added two
silvers, while Amir Abbas Sagheri, Soodabeh Aghaei, and Taha Sharifi earned
bronze medals in Wai Kru divisions. Taekwondo saw Pinar Lotfizadeh secure a
silver medal after defeating rivals from Singapore, the Philippines, and Jordan
before narrowly losing to China in the final. Iran’s E-sports representative
Amir Mohammad Farahani claimed bronze in e-football, defeating opponents from
Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
In athletics, Alireza Samimi and
Ali Asghar Shahi clinched bronze in the discus throw, while the boys’ Handball
and Volleyball teams advanced to the semifinals following decisive wins over
Kuwait and Mongolia. Cyclist Raha Bajelan finished 10th in the individual time
trial, with the team also taking bronze after victories against Vietnam and
Uzbekistan.
With these results, Iran’s
delegation maintained its strong presence in the medal standings of the Bahrain
2025 Games, reflecting the country’s growing youth sports potential across
Asia.
