Dr. Ahmad Donyamali, Minister of Sport and Youth of the Islamic Republic of Iran, accompanied by Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, NOC President, and Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, Secretary-General, met with the management team of Iran’s “Ambassadors of Hope” delegation at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.

reviewed the operational progress of the team, praising the effective
coordination and strong management led by the experienced delegation staff. He
expressed confidence that Iranian young athletes are fully prepared to deliver
outstanding performances in Manama. Highlighting the importance of youth
development, the Minister said the “Ambassadors of Hope” can become a golden
generation for the Doha 2030 Asian Games and future Olympic events. He also
underlined Iran’s ambition to surpass its previous record of 20–21 gold medals
at the Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, calling the goal “realistic and achievable.”

Vafa commended the efforts made for Iran’s participation and expressed hope for
successful results through unity and calm focus. Delegation Chef de Mission
Alireza Pakdel presented a report on the activities, thanking the Minister and
NOC leadership for their full support and describing their policies as
“strategic and visionary.”
