Iranian men’s and women’s rowing teams wrapped up their participation at the Asian Rowing Championships in Haiphong, Vietnam, with a total of two gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.
                
								
                
									
                    Iran NOC; Tehran: the event concluded with strong performances by
Iranian rowers across several finals. In the women’s single sculls
(heavyweight), Fatemeh Mojallal claimed the gold medal with a time of 8:31.11.
In the men’s double sculls (heavyweight) B final, Masoud Mohammadi and Mohammad
Hossein Haghi finished second. In the women’s lightweight single sculls, Zeinab
Norouzi earned the silver medal with a time of 8:24.75. Due to an injury to
Fatemeh Mojallal, Iran’s women’s quadruple sculls team was unable to compete in
the final. On the previous day, Iranian rowers had also secured one gold and
two bronze medals. The team was led by head coach Afshin Farzam and technical
director Rozhko Vesolod for the men’s squad, and head coach Behnaz Moradkhani
with technical director Anastasia for the women’s team. Morteza Salimi, Acting
Secretary-General of the Rowing Federation, accompanied the delegation as team
leader.
