Nasser Eimen Al-Majali, Secretary-General of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA), met with Iran’s Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Donyamali, as part of Iran’s bid process to host the 2029 Islamic Solidarity Games.
Iran NOC; Tehran: During the
meeting, Dr. Donyamali emphasized Iran’s readiness and commitment to serve as a
worthy host of the Games, highlighting the country’s experience in organizing
major international events. Al-Majali praised Iran’s advanced sports
infrastructure, noting that the nation’s technical progress stems from its
solid foundation of sporting facilities. The meeting took place on the
sidelines of the ISSA delegation’s inspection visit to Tehran, which included
tours of key sports venues and discussions with National Olympic Committee
officials regarding Iran’s hosting proposal.
