In line with Iran’s bid to host the 2029 Islamic Solidarity Games, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA), Nasser Al-Majali, will arrive in Tehran, where he will be welcomed by the Secretary-General and senior directors of the National Olympic Committee of Iran.
Iran NOC; Tehran: Al-Majali will
be accompanied by three ISSA officials from the Islamic Solidarity Games
Coordination Committee to review and inspect sports venues, infrastructure, and
accommodation facilities as part of the evaluation process. The official
program begins on Wednesday morning (October 15) with a detailed presentation
by the Iranian NOC outlining the country’s plans and capabilities to host the
2029 edition of the Games. Site visits will start later and continue through
Thursday, before the delegation departs Tehran on Friday. Alongside Iran,
Malaysia and Uzbekistan have also submitted bids to host the Islamic Solidarity
Games 2029. The ISSA delegation has already visited both countries, and the
final decision on the host nation will be announced on the sidelines of the
Riyadh 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games.
