The first coordination meeting for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games was held at the National Olympic Committee with the presence of NOC President Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, Secretary General Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, and officials and representatives of Olympic federations.

underlined the need for early preparation and invited federations to share
proposals to enhance planning for qualification and participation. He
reaffirmed the NOC’s full financial and moral support, noting that after the
Asian Games, the main focus will be on preparing a strong delegation for LA
2028.
Dr. Alinejad emphasized that the
Olympic qualification process begins immediately after each Games and pointed
to changes in several disciplines, highlighting the growing role of the Asian
Games in earning quotas. He also announced that, following talks with the IOC
President, assurances were given for facilitating visas and cooperation through
the US Olympic Committee. During the meeting, reports were presented by Reza
Shajie, Dr. Asghar Rahimi, and Atefeh Eslamian, followed by federation
discussions on upcoming plans and challenges leading to the Aichi-Nagoya 2026
Asian Games and Los Angeles 2028.
