Iran NOC; Tehran: In a symbolic
and inspiring moment, Kiani – the most decorated female Olympian in Iran’s
history – joined the distinguished group of athletes who have left their mark
on the Olympic Wall, a long-standing IOC tradition honoring Olympians who
embody the Olympic spirit on and off the field.
Accompanied by the President and Secretary General of the National
Olympic Committee of Iran, Kiani expressed her pride in visiting the Olympic
House, calling the experience “a great honour and motivation to continue
working for the advancement of women’s sport.” She recalled her most emotional
Olympic moment as standing on the medal podium in Paris, vowing to strive for
“an even brighter medal in Los Angeles” and to inspire future generations of
Iranian women athletes.
