The 101st meeting of the Ethics Commission of the National Olympic Committee of Iran was convened in NOC conference hall, attended by Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, Secretary General of the NOC, along with the Chair and other members of the Commission.
Iran NOC; Tehran: The session began with a report by one of the members on
methods of promoting ethics in sport, as well as further examples related to
the Code of Ethics and conflict of interest. The Commission also reviewed its
current capacities and the challenges ahead. Dr. Alinejad emphasized the
importance and special position of the Ethics Commission, underlining that the
Commission’s by-laws must be aligned with the Statutes of the National Olympic
Committee. He further noted that after review and approval by the Executive
Board, the by-laws should also be ratified by the General Assembly in order to
ensure their full enforceability. The meeting continued with discussions among
the members regarding the amendments to the by-laws of the Commission and the
mechanisms for effective implementation of its decisions.
