Dr. Mahdi Alinejad announced that five experts — Dr. Fariba Mohammadian, Dr.
Shirzad, Dr. Reza Gharakhanlou, Ali Kafashian and Dr. Alinejad — were endorsed,
alongside Hassan Rangraz and Minoo Moddaḥ as coaches’ representatives. The Army
Club and Islamic Azad University were also confirmed as representatives of
clubs.
Among other resolutions, the
Board delegated authority for selecting flag bearers for the Asian Youth Games
in Bahrain and the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh to the NOC Board.
Progress reports from the respective Chefs de Mission were also presented, with
preparations described as on track despite outstanding uncertainties regarding
athlete quotas. Alinejad further reported that 75 percent of federations’
budgets have already been disbursed, with additional case-by-case support
available to assist with Bahrain and Riyadh participation. He also confirmed
that uniforms are finalized — podium outfits will double as parade attire for
the Bahrain event, while tailored suits for men and designated outfits for
women are being prepared for Riyadh. Looking ahead, Alinejad highlighted that
preparations for the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya are proceeding on schedule, in
contrast to delays in current events. Iran will once again pursue a “quality
delegation” strategy, targeting medals among men and top-six finishes for
women.
