Iranian Cadet Greco-Roman Wrestlers Crowned Champions in Historic City of Athens with Six Colorful Medals

NOC; Tehran: The Iranian national cadet Greco-Roman wrestling team successfully
defended their championship title in Athens, Greece, securing a total of six
medals—1 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze—despite competing with a reduced squad of
nine wrestlers. AmirSam Mohammadi won the gold medal in the 92 kg category,
Yazdan Delrooz claimed silver in the 110 kg class, and bronze medals were
earned by AmirMohammad Hajivand (48 kg), AmirReza Tahmasbpour (55 kg), Abolfazl
Zare’ (60 kg), and Mohammad Kazemi (71 kg).In the team rankings, Iran topped
the competition with 125 points, followed by Uzbekistan with 118 points and
Kazakhstan with 113 points securing second and third places, respectively.
