The third meeting of the National Olympic Committee's Sports Psychology and Consulting Commission was held with the presence of Dr. Mohammad Tabe, Director of the National Olympic Academy and Chef de Mission of the delegation to the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, and Dr. Reza Shaji, Director of the National Teams Monitoring Center.
Iran NOC; Tehran: In the initial
part of the meeting, Dr. Nasser Sobhi Qaramaleki, Chairman of the Commission,
emphasized the importance of constructive interaction and cooperation between
the Commission, the National Olympic Academy, and the National Teams Monitoring
Center, and considered it a key factor in achieving the long-term goals of the
National Olympic Committee.
Next, Dr. Reza Shajie presented a
comprehensive report on the new process and methods developed by the National
Teams Monitoring Center to evaluate the performance of federations and national
teams; he specifically addressed the methods of evaluating and monitoring the
mental fitness of athletes and highlighted the need to expand cooperation
between the Psychological Commission and the Monitoring Center so that
indicators and components related to mental fitness can be determined and
followed up with more precision.
Also, Dr. Mohammad Tabe, while
explaining the process of preparing the national teams participating in the
Asian Youth Games in Bahrain and the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh,
pointed out the key role of sports psychologists alongside the national teams,
and pointed to the capacities of the Psychological Performance Assessment
Center of the National Olympic Academy.
