The sixth anniversary of the establishment of the National Sport Olympic Paralympic Museum was celebrated with the presence of Dr. Alinejad, Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee.
Iran NOC; Tehran: At this
ceremony, Farhad Tolokian, Director the Museum, welcomed the audience and
stated: “It is International Museum Day and the sixth anniversary of the
National Sport, Olympic, Paralympic Museum. The museum displays some of the
successes of our beloved Iranian sports. The National Museum of Sports is a
place to introduce and reflect on the history of sports, championships and
heroics with the aim of preserving the heritage of Iranian sports and providing
educational and cultural services by transferring concepts and teachings such
as the culture of chivalry, the Olympism ritual and the continuation of the
Paralympic movement. Pursuing strengthening infrastructure is one of the
museum's programs. The project to improve and equip the museum's repository,
modeled after the treasury of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, was
fortunately completed, and this standard repository was inaugurated in the
presence of the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee. We will
make formal and content reforms and changes in the museum so that we can be
ready to welcome the public for visits. Preparation for group visits by
students, students and various groups and institutions is also possible with
prior coordination”.
