The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the National Olympic Committee and the Iranian Mines and Mineral Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) was signed at the in support of the NOC, in the presence of Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, President, Mahdi Alinejad, Secretary General, and Mohammad Aghajanloo, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade and Chair of the Executive Board of IMIDRO.

Khosravi Vafa, the President of the National Olympic Committee, while welcoming
Aghajanlou and the accompanying delegation, stated: "The International
Olympic Committee is a powerful organization with a 140-year history, so that
athletes who win a quota to participate in the Olympic Games do not need a visa
and can travel to the host country with an ID card." The NOC President
pointed out the special features of the Olympic Games with the presence of
high-ranking officials from different countries around the world, a large
number of media individuals, television coverage, and public reception on
social networks, and stated: "Such conditions naturally have extraordinary
capacity and potential in the field of news and images, which can be viewed as
an opportunity."
Continuing, Dr. Alinejad, the NOC
Secretary General, while appreciating the officials of the Iranian Mines and
Mineral Industries Development and Renovation Organization, stated: “For many
years, the category of sports, as the largest and most important social
category, has been a tool for introducing the culture, civilization, and
development of different countries, in a way that examining the position of the
top Olympic countries clarifies many issues. A look at the top teams in the
Olympic Games ranking table indicates that the greatest honor and success
belong to countries that are developed and have a strong economy and system, in
which the issue of economy and financial support for sports play an important
and direct role together and are in fact necessary and indispensable to each
other”.
Strengthening bilateral
cooperation to promote sports and health in the country's industry and mining,
cooperation in developing and promoting championship sports, helping to support
the National Olympic Committee and national teams in line with social
responsibility by creating a joint sports working group, helping and supporting
Iran's national and sports representatives at the international level,
developing sports in labor and championship dimensions, and developing
investment in sports facilities and facilities are among the provisions of this
memorandum.
At the end of the above meeting,
Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, Secretary General, and Dr. Mohammad Aghajanloo, Chair of
the Executive Board of IMIDRO, signed the aforementioned memorandum of
cooperation, and the IMIDRO delegation visited the National Olympic Museum.
