Following the meetings between officials of the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports with federations and associations that are candidates for representing in the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, these meetings were held separately in the the National Olympic Committee, with the presence of officials and technical staff of the Muay Thai and Wrestling, Aquatic and Handball federations.
Iran NOC; Tehran: After hearing
the reports, Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, while pointing out the high potentials,
emphasized the need for a worthy and powerful presence in this edition of
competitions in Islamic Solidarity Games, stating that the criterion is a
successful presence in upcoming international Asian and World competitions. Dr.
Mahin Farhadizad, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee, while
emphasizing the sending as many female athletes as possible, called for holding
regular camps in this section. Dr. Shajie, Director of the National Teams
Monitoring Center, while analyzing the current situation of each discipline,
also referred to their past situation and the chances of winning medals in
Riyadh, and Mohammad Tabe, Chef de Mission, called for serious attention to the
issue of physical fitness and athletes' qualifications.
