During the past IOC Executive Board meeting Paris, the final principles of Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games received the approval.
Iran NOC; Tehran: Following the
IOC Executive Board (EB)’s approval of the discipline program and the IOC
Session decisions taken in October 2023 on Organizing Committee-proposed sports
and pending sports, the IOC EB, meeting this week in Paris, approved the event
program principles for the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028. The principles
framework proposed by the IOC Olympic Program Commission assists and guides
International Federations (IFs) in formulating proposals for their event
program, in line with the strategic roadmap of Olympic Agenda 2020+5 tailored
to correspond with the vision and context of LA28. The focus will be on creating
a compelling sports program, while reducing its cost and complexity. The program
will undergo a review by 2025.
