The 10th meeting of the Women and Sports Commission of the National Olympic Committee was held at with the presence of the majority of the members.
Iran NOC; Tehran: In this meeting, Dr. Farhadizad, the NOC Vice-President
and Chair of the Women and Sports Commission, firstly explained about the
Hangzhou Asian Games, the activities of China as the host country and the measures
taken by the National Olympic Committee in the Iranian sports delegation. In
the following, Mohsen Biranvand, the Director of the National Teams Monitoring
Center and the delegation’s deputy to the Asian Games in Hangzhou, presented a
report on the results and then answered the questions of the commission members
in this regard. In another part of
this meeting, Dr. Sara Kashgar, the author of the book "History of
Physical Education and Sports of Iranian Women with Emphasis on Influential
Women" introduced the book which was followed by a brief report on behalf
of Dr. Sara Mehrani, Director of NOC Olympic Solidarity, on the gender equality
issues of the IOC.
