Mobina Nematzadeh, the Female Taekwondo athlete of our country, won a bronze medal in the 19th Asian Games.
Iran NOC; Tehran: In continuation
of the taekwondo competition, which is taking place with the participation of
223 taekwondo players in Hangzhou, the weight competitions of -58 kg for men,
-49 kg for women and the combined division were held.
Mobina Nematzadeh, representing
Iran in -49 kg weight, after a break in the first round, faced an opponent from
the Philippines in the elimination round, and this match was accompanied by a
2-0 victory for her. She defeated the opponent of Kazakhstan by 2-0 in the
quarter-final stage. In the semi-final stage, Iran's representative played
against Ging Gu, the world and Asian medalist from China, in the semi-final and
lost in the first round by 14:10 and in the second round by 25:8 and ceased to
the bronze medal.
