In the final of the "Speed" section of the World Ice Climbing Championships, "Mohsen Beheshti Rad" was able to win the world gold medal with a remarkable performance.
Iran NOC; Tehran: For the first
time in the history of Ice Climbing, the athlete of our country was able to win
the championship title against the athletes of Russia. In this competition,
"Mohsen Beheshti Rad" was the only athlete who was able to climb the
wall of the competition with a time of 6 seconds. This is the first time a
non-Russian athlete has won the first world championship speed title. Also,
"Mohammad Reza Safdarian", another Iranian athlete present in this
competition, became the fifth “Speed” athlete.
