The Turkish International Athletics Competition ended yesterday when our national team finished with 14 medals.
Iran NOC; Tehran: During the International Athletics Tournament in
Turkey, which started on Saturday, Iranian athletes succeeded to win 7 gold, 4
silver and 2 bronze medals in the men's section, as well as a silver medal by
Reyhaneh Mobini in high jump.
400 athletes from 9 countries participated in this competition, and Iran
national team participating with 16 athletes came to this competition with the
aim of passing the preparation on the verge of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
During these competitions and in the women's section, Reyhaneh Mobini,
representing our country, was able to record a result of 6.18 meters with her
technical and spectacular jump and won the title of 2nd runner-up. In
the men's section, Mohammad Reza Tayebi, the valuable champion of our country,
succeeded in becoming the weight throw champion by registering a score of 19.95
and winning the gold medal. In the same event, Shahin Mehrdalan, also became
the runner-up with a result of 19.81 meters after Tayebi. In the 400-meter relay,
Sajjad Hashemi stood on the first podium with a time of 45.67 seconds and won
the gold medal. In hammer throwing, Reza Moghadam registered the best throw on
his name with a record of 67.81 meters and stood on the first podium. Other
athletes of the National Team also managed to win medals in their contests
against the opponents.
