Komeil Ghasemi, the Iranian Olympian and Bronze medalist in London 2012 Olympic Games were allocated the Gold Medal due to positive doping tests of the contestants.
Iran NOC; Tehran: The International Olympic Committee sent a
letter to Dr. Salehi Amiri, President of the National Olympic Committee,
announcing the completion of the doping investigation of Uzbek athlete Arthur
Taymazov and the Georgian athlete, Davit Modzamanashvili, the first and second place
winners of the London 2012 London Olympics. Due to positive doping tests of
these two athletes, the International Olympic Committee has decided to award
the gold medal to Komeil Ghasemi, the originally third runner wrestler in 120
kg of London 2012.
